Last Day O' Winter!

Now, this comes to no surprise to anyone who might happen to read this, but I love horses.  For example, this video was on the Book of Face and I LOVE it.  Have already watched it three times....it combines two of my favorite things, horses and dance music.
Horse on the Dance Floor
Having my two mares in the backyard is so amazing.  Yes, it is A LOT of work and even more money.  Right now we are trying to figure out what to do about our mud problem...being in Washington and all, we gets-us-a-lot of rain.  But today the sun came out and tomorrow is the first day of Spring.  Which means hopefully the ground will dry up and I can finally really start riding again.  It is always heart warming to see the ponies taking naps in the comfort of the sun.  I am really grateful that I get to share my horse lifestyle with my boy.  He even openly volunteers to go clean stalls with me at eleven o'clock at night.  Telsa LOVES the horses, maybe even more than I do.  He spends his days staring out the window, tending his herd.  Must be his Border Collie breeding.  When the television has a horse neigh, he always jumps up to run and get a visual on the mares, making sure they are alright.  It blows my mind the traits we have been able to bred into dogs.  Oh, on that subject, I got a part-time job working with dogs, so I now have experience with almost every breed.  It truly is amazing to see how instinctual some traits are, and how well they do the jobs they were bred for.  Labs retrieve.  Goldens love.  Yorkies want to be held.  Collies focus.  And Corgis, well, Corgis eat.  Pomeranians trot around looking fabulous.
Telsa and his day job:

You can probably tell that I am on break from school as I finally have time to update this blog.  This past quarter was tough and very emotionally challenging.  I truly can NOT wait to be done with grad school.  I feel like school has complete control over my life (and finances).  I would not do it over again, that is for sure, but hopefully one day it will be worth it.

We watched "50/50" the other night, and it is a tear-jerker.  However, it is NOT filmed in Seattle.  They totally faked the Space Needle.  C'mon, just go ahead and say you are in Canada when you are in Canada.  No need to hide.  We still will watch a movie based in Canada.  Right?  AHHHHHH....Hunger Games this weekend!  Very excited!
